Scribes
There were not many people who could write in Ancient Egypt, so they used scribes to write all of the Hieroglyphic symbols. Scribes were specially trained in most of their early years to read and write the complicated Hieroglyphic script. Inscribing the Rosetta Stone was a long process, because they had to slowly carve each Hieroglyph out. One mistake would mean starting over, which they could not afford to do because they only had a certain amount of stones. The Rosetta Stone was carved by one single scribe who was carefully chosen for the job.
